Noel Francis Hankinson, age 80, a gentleman's gentleman was called into the presence of the Lord at 7:15 pm Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the FairHope Hospice, Pickering House, Lancaster with his family by his side.
Noel was born November 23, 1936 in New Lexington, to the late William Francis and Lena Josephine (Sweeney) Hankinson. On April 22, 1961 he married the love of his life, Joann Naomi (Boley) Hankinson who preceded him in death on September 2, 2004 after 43 wonderful years of marriage.
Noel was a 1954 graduate of St. Aloysius Academy and a member of the 1954 St. Aloysius State Championship Basketball team. He proudly served in the Ohio National Guard. Noel was loved by many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew, and loved him.
He was blessed with four children who loved him dearly, Michele A. Hankinson of New Lexington, Michael A. and Ann (Sturgill) Hankinson of Crooksville, Joel F.
