Celebrating the life of Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Metzger
Thank you for signing Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Metzger's Guestbook
My sympathy to the Family of Robert. I had the privilege of serving Robert as his science teacher in the school years of 1950, '51-'52 at Junction City-Jackson High School. Robert was an eager, respectful student and was a positive influence on his fellow students. I recall having his brother William in class and his sister Mary Ann, as well. The entire Metzger Family was a great asset to the school and community. I know that Pastor Robert must have been a great inspiration to the countless parishioners he ministered to over the years. God, please accept your servant Robert to your Fold. Robert L. Reed, Helen Purcell Home, Zanesville, Ohio

You Baptized me, you heard my first Confession, and gave me my First Holy Communion. More than that, you were my first example of the truth of your faith and I will always remember your light as I learn and grow in the faith you introduced me to. May God bless you as you come into his Kingdom.

We were so blessed to have this gentle and kind soul grace our lives as he served Holy Trinity Church in Jackson. He was a wonderful shepherd who taught us what it meant to be holy. His love for his parish family had no boundaries. Jim and I cherish our years together and will always give thanks for his friendship.

To the Metzger Family,
I remember Father Metzger from Bishop Hartley High School where he was a teacher. I remember him as a very kind, respectful and often times shy Priest who had a heart of gold. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Such a great priest. Father was one of the best priests that came to Church of Atonement. R.I.P. Father, we will miss you!

What an amazing man. He was a retired priest serving our Parish, Church of the Atonement, for many years and he still had the gift God gave him to enlighten his parishioners. May God welcome this good man into His open arms. Our faith and the world has lost a valuable servant. Go in peace Father Metzger.
