Dale R Thorpe

Dale R. Thorpe, 68, passed away on January 19 at home with his wife and son by his side, loving him. Dale was born on March 25,1955 to Don and Manzella Thorpe. Dale graduated from Sheridan High School in 1973. He retired from Ohio Operators Union working for John K. Leohner.

Dale was a great father and so proud of his sons. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, and his lottery tickets. He loved his family, and he enjoyed spending time with each and everyone.

Dale is survived by his wife of 38 years, April, and his son Logan. His brothers, Kevin (Shannon) Thorpe, Craig (Beth) Thorpe. Sisters’ in-law, Janie (Ronnie) Winegardner, Paula Hammer, Lisa Thorpe, and Mary Thorpe. Mother-in-law Arlene Hammer.

Dale is preceded in death by our precious son Dale Jr,,(DJ) his parents, brothers, Ronnie Thorpe, Dino Thorpe, and Bart Thorpe. His father-in law Donnie Hammer, sister-in-law Vicky Narm, brother-in law Danny Hammer and nephew Marshal Thorpe.

Special thank you to his brother Kevin and Fairview Hospice for being there for Dale.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday January 24,2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM with funeral services at 3:00 PM at the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home 118 S Jackson Street New Lexington, Ohio 43764.Pastor Rick Cline will officiate with burial in New Lexington Cemetery. www.chutewiley.com.
